Open Air Theatre

Regent’s Park, London

The oldest professional permanent outdoor theatre in Britain returns for its 16-week summer season, with July dominated by two Shakespeare plays: The Comedy of Errors and Macbeth. The Comedy of Errors returns to the theatre for the first time in 14 years, although its setting has shifted theatrically to 1940s Casablanca, while Macbeth has been “reimagined for everyone aged six and over”, and offers a condensed, family-friendly version of the play. Both productions run until 31 July. www.openairtheatre.org
