You will always find inside…

A voice recorder
Ideas are the most valuable thing in the world and they usually come when you least expect them. Carrying a voice recorder allows me to instantly record my thoughts, and I can return to them later in the day or week to see if they are worth pursuing.

Three ties
They’re from Marinella, a Naples-based clothing company renowned for its quality ties. I carry a blue, a yellow and a red tie with me, and wear them depending on my mood.

A Sony video camera
I travel constantly and I like to capture moments of life in different countries. One day I intend to edit all those sequences together as a short movie to provide the answer to the question: are we living in a truly globalised world?

My favourite book
On War by General Carl Von Clausewitz, 1832. Clausewitz was a strategist, and his strategy for disarming the enemy combined physical and moral destruction to achieve superiority. I constantly find myself comparing that perspective against the current business environment, where success means achieving results with minimal resources – doing less with more.

My iPad
A tool that I’m becoming more and more dependent on. It’s easy to use in any situation, going from standby to being fully operational in less than a second. On planes, in cabs or on trains, the iPad allows me to be fully connected and consult documentation in an easy and efficient way – and considerably reduces the weight of my backpack!

A compass
Because it indicates which way home is. Whenever I have challenging days, there’s only one direction to take. Home.
